Jumping Jack
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
If you are reading this, I first want to thank you for visiting my site. It means a lot to me that you take the time to see my creations. This time, I am excited to introduce you to Jumping Jack, my first game made in Unity. It is essentially a platformer game with a mini coin system to unlock levels. The game is currently in its version 1.0 with simple but well-executed mechanics, and new versions with additional mechanics and more complex levels are expected.
Regarding the code, the game was developed following the principles of SOLID, FACTORY, FSM, ADDITIVE SCENES, EVENTS, NEW INPUT SYSTEM, COROUTINES, and all the important concepts necessary for good programming practices. Although there is still room for improvement in the gameplay, version 1.1 will be released soon with more polished mechanics for better player immersion.
Controls:
Keyboard: AWSD to move, spacebar to jump, and F to pray.
Gamepad: Sticks to move, X to jump, and O to pray.
You will need to collect the 4 coins scattered in each level to open the door to the next one. If you want to know more, play it!
Once again, thank you for getting this far, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Credits: The game was designed and programmed by me (Juan Ignacio Digilio), a student of Video Game Development at Image Campus.
The assets were downloaded from the Unity Asset Store.
The animations were downloaded from mixamo.com.
The sounds were downloaded from sonidosmp3gratis.com.
